Mr Michiel Soeting
Trustee (Treasurer & Trustee)
Michiel has been a governor at Reed's School since 2021. He is a Chartered Accountant qualified in both the Netherlands and the UK and the former Chairman & Partner of KPMG’s Global Energy and Natural Resources Practice. During his 32-year career at KPMG, Michiel has led global teams providing audit and advisory services to some of KPMG’s largest clients including BHP Group, Equinor, LafargeHolcim, Philips Electronics and RD Shell.
From 2012-2014 Michiel was a member of the Resource Efficiency Platform of the European Commission, building policy for efficient use of resources in the EU. He is also an Advisory Board Member of the Georgia Southern University in the USA.
Michiel is an Independent Director at Veon Ltd, the NASDAQ listed international digital operator and a Non Executive Director at Serica Energy, a UK listed independent oil and gas company.
